Some times it will miss a couple of items and then you will have to transfer the supplies manually by clicking and dragging from one inventory to the other. if you left-click the icon it will stash all the materials with the corresponding quality color into the supply stash linked to all your characters. If the symbol is white I believe it will transfer all qualities. left click while the symbol is green will transfer any green quality supplies if its purple then only the purple quality supplies will be transfered and so forth for every other color into the linked stash. right-clicking on this will switch the rarity thus changing the color on the "+" symbol. If you have a bunch of crafting supplies in your character inventory there is an icon near the top left of a diamond with a "+" symbol next to it. The Diamond icon is all the crafting supplies and these supplies are linked between all of your characters. From the inventory screen, there should be a list of Icons on the left. It used to be that you would have to mail other characters crafting items and supplies manually but there is a new inventory system from when the game first came out. If I were you I would just create a new character and when it comes time to select your crafting and gathering skills choose something different from what the other character has.
